We’ve developed several enjoyable cycling routes (approximately 25 km) in and around Amersfoort. Below, you’ll find the routes and the restaurants and cafes you’ll pass. You can contact them directly to make a reservation. We no longer offer packages.

Valleikanaal – Teahuis Mon-Chouette
This tour takes you along the Valleikanaal canal between Amersfoort and Leusden, before returning through Den Treek. The route also takes you past a section of the old Grebbelinie. Along the way, you can enjoy a bite to eat and a drink at Mon-Chouette Tea House.
Rondje Den Treek – Theehuis Eldorado
Cycling through the woods surrounding the Den Treek estate is a wonderful experience. This tour takes you past the estate, along beautiful country lanes, and along the way, you’ll stop for a drink at Eldorado Tea Room.
Rondje Soesterduinen - Restaurant 't Hoogt
Cycle through the unique dune landscape of the Soesterduinen. This route takes you past the beautiful Paltz Estate and you can visit the National Military Museum at Soesterberg Air Base. Along the way, you can stop for a drink at Restaurant ‘t Hoogt or het Soesterdal.
Rondje Eempolder - Soest - Soesterduinen
First, cycle through Amersfoort’s unique Koppelpoort to the edge of the city. There, continue along the Eem River, enjoying the expansive landscape of the Eempolder. You’ll arrive in Soest, where you can take a break at the DLC café in Soest’s old train station. Or enjoy a delicious pancake at de Smickel. Finally, you return to Amersfoort through the unique dune landscape of the Soesterduinen.
Our bikes can be equipped with a picnic basket (unfortunately not compatible with a child seat). You can fill this basket with your own picnic items. Or you can order a picnic from Lunch en Borrel
Picnic
Shortly after the bike tour begins, you’ll arrive at Lunch & Borrel via Muurhuizen. Here you can pick up your picnic baskets. This is also a good opportunity to use the restroom before continuing your tour. The lunch picnic baskets are filled per person with:
- 2 luxurious mini sandwiches
- soup of the day
- a hot snack
- fruit salad
- pastry
- orange juice
Drinks picnic
Prefer a drinks picnic? Then choose the following:
- small bottles of prosecco or 2 bottles of beer, or 1/2 bottle of wine, or 2 bottles of soft drink (preferably non-alcoholic on the bike)
- a drinks package consisting of: cheese and charcuterie boards, bread board, spread and dip, nuts, olives and chicken skewers
Dietary requirements can be communicated when booking. For young children, the basket contents will be adjusted to suit their needs.
The price of both picnic options is €15 per person.
Please note: The picnic can only be combined with the route through the center along the Valleikanaal or through the center and Den Treek.
